Renee Mendola – Metalsmith/Jeweler

I am a metalsmith working primarily in silver with gold and semi-precious stones.

Because of my love of nature and the environment I use recycled metals or fair mined metals as well as fair mined or fair trade stones in my work as much as possible.   My work is handcrafted and funky, natural, earthy, and organic.  I like the earthy rough look of hand hammered and patinated silver with natural stones.

I have been making some sort of craft – stained glass, pottery, welding, forever.   I really love the natural world, ancient art, and animals, and began by expressing these loves in stained glass.  Today I work in different materials but love expressing myself in art and hope that my jewelry reinforces your connection to the natural world.
